Renee reports that she spent about $50 on this room. She spent it wisely and added her own diy projects to make a lovely space for "Baby Z." She shares: We were on a limited budget and had a lot of sentimental items that we wanted to incorporate into the room, which presented a challenge. So I decided to not worry too much about being matchy-matchy and the room just came together!

The antique rocking chair that my husband was rocked in as a baby compliments the vintage armoire we thrifted, the white refinished dresser compliments the new white crib. Since we are renting, I did not paint but instead hung a tapestry along one wall ($20 on sale from Urban Outfitters) and it gave the room more punch than a can of paint would have.

Overall, we only spent maybe $50 on the room, since so much of the furniture and decor was either a DIY project (the bird mobile, wall art above the bookcase, refinished dresser) or repurposed items from elsewhere in our house or our parents' attics (the rocking chair, bookcase, curtains, to name a few).

Thanks Renee!
