Benjamin's getting a jumpstart on his nature identification in his lovely room. His mom Sonja shares: I was delighted when you profiled the Cavallini papers on Ohdeedoh a while back as I was looking for something to hang on the wall above Benjamin's crib. I'd put together a photo collage of Ben's relatives (a pictorial family tree) but later decided that 15 heavy wood and glass pictures frames hanging above our son's bed (in earthquake prone Seattle) wasn't a brilliant idea.
So when I saw the Cavallini wrapping papers on your site, I hustled down to our local paper store and hung them on the wall with handmade poster hangers. They're easy to replace in the event that the kiddo rips them off the wall or we get bored with the current images.
I'm a sewing newbie so the nursery was a perfect time to drag out the sewing machine and try my hand at some pieces. I made pretty much everything: curtains, window seat cover (which is an Ikea bookcase, turned sideways), ottoman cover (there is a very dated mustard yellow ottoman hiding under that blue cover), crib skirt, and pillows. Fortunately everything only called for straight lines!
Thanks Sonja! Readers, see more of and read more about Benjamin's nursery on The Sweet Seattle Life.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love the room- but since when was Seattle earthquake prone?! :)
Um. Seattle is incredibly earthquake-prone. http://www.seattle.gov/emergency/hazards/earthquake.htm
Cute room - love the curtains!
They're on the Seattle fault and around a system of other fault zones! All I ever about Seattle is how they're in for a big one heh
Love love love

Really cute--looks comfortable and cheerful and pleasant.
Awesome! Looks like the Kendall crib from PB and Hemnes dresser from Ikea that we have for our little girl's nursery. Is that right?
