Yellow and grey are two of our favorite colors and together here they are a match made in heaven (not to mention the cool pops of red). Sherri tells us about her son's terrific room: When I found out we were having a boy the first thought that popped into my mind was, "How on earth can I decorate a baby boy's room?" I had had a lot of fun decorating my daughter's room - I found it so easy to just go crazy with colour, texture and patterns, but with a boy I wasn't quite sure what to do.
While I was pregnant with Blaise, I had been watching a lot of Mad Men. I was definitely influenced by the mid-century furniture and decor on the show. I am in love with the Eames rocker my husband bought for me when I was pregnant with Blaise. It was great for nursing in and rocking my baby to sleep. Doesn't hurt that it also looks great.
I have always loved the grey and yellow colour combination and having a boy's room to decorate was the perfect excuse to use it. I didn't want to go with traditional blue, I wanted to go with something classic, modern and yet still baby friendly. The red cushions, rug and lamp (all from Ikea) is a great complimentary colour and gives the room a little extra oomph! Blaise's room is bright and cheerful without being overly child-like.
The vintage airplanes were a Christmas gift from his aunty. The poster above his crib was purchased from Penny People via Etsy.
I am such a HUGE fan of Ohdeedoh and Apartment Therapy. Most of the decorating inspiration for my home has come from your sites. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Thanks Sherri, we absolutely do! Readers, check out Sherri's blog So Much To Love.

I love this room! I especially love how the white stripe serves as the focal point for any artwork or shelves you hang on the wall. Perfect!
Shout out to the peeps from the Lower Mainland! Lovely room... I just can't get enough of the yellow/grey combo. And throwing in an ugly doll goes straight to my heart too.
Great color combo with the white stripe and the pops of red are perfect! Love the feel of the room and it will definitely grow with Blaise. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely room. So happy to see a Canadian submission!
there are so many painted wall treatments i don't care for but this is really nice. great color combo, not too busy, well done!
I LOVE THIS ROOM!!!! I love the gray and yellow combination. I am 23 weeks pregnant now and expecting a boy and that color scheme is one of my choices. Blaise's nursery is such an inspiration. Can't wait to get home to show my husband. I might do a replica of this room ;).
Thanks everyone for the comments! Having Blaise's nursery featured on ohdeedoh is a dream come true! Glad you all like it :)
rad.
First off, so excited to see a fellow Poco resident on ohdeedoh! But more importantly -- great room. Checked out your blog and your daughter's room is fabulous, too. Nicely done!
I love the splashes of red -- really stands out against the yellow and gray. What a great room!
What a fantastic room! I've been toying with using this color scheme for my 6 year-old's room and this just seals the deal!
I really like this! And that poof cushion will be a favorite when Blaise reaches climbing age!
Can you please share the info for the furniture (crib, dresser, & bookcase)? Thanks!
The crib is made by an Australian company called Boori http://www.boori.com.au/index.php and the dresser/ change table was purchased in Australia but sorry, I don't know the make. The bookcase is from Ikea.
He is one lucky baby, to have such a stylish mama, make him such a fun room. I love that Madmen influenced you in designing a child's room!
