We love how this detailed rug ties all the colors in the room together. Brooke tells us more about her daughter's nursery: Our baby girl's nursery is filled with vintage and modern furnishings, as well as meaningful gifts from family and friends.
Storage was an issue for us in this bedroom - half of the closet was taken over by a chimney addition years before we moved into the house. The remaining closet is only 18" wide with one curtain rod and a shelf. That's why we chose to add a dresser and large bookshelf to the room. There are also storage containers hidden under the crib and on the floor of the closet. We wanted to keep the large pieces in the room neutral and use colors in the rug for accessories. My background is in teaching so the light fixture, Dick and Jane artwork, and picture book collection add a schoolhouse touch to the room.

Shaw's Original Fir...
So soft and pretty. Before I knew I was having a boy I designed an entire nursery in my head around that Anthroplogie rug...
This room looks like it will grow well into an older child's room. I think, even as a teenager I would have loved that rug. And I really love those curtains. So soft and sweet!
love the curtains and the rug!!
That rug is so lovely!
Love the rug and the room!
I was looking at the room thinking... That looks just like the color of our nursery! And it is! We used Dolphin Fin as well, what a lovely soft neutral. I adore the pale pink ruffled curtains and the playful rug. And, as a teacher, I absolutely love the Dick and Jane posters!
love this, we just bought an expedit last night and I love the bins used in this one, does anyone know what they are called, I can't seem to find them on the IKEA site.
I love the room. Where did you find the rocker?
You can buy a similar rocker on Overstock.com...mid-century copy cat for around $120 if I remember correctly.
How do you like the Davinci Jenny Lind? I love it but I'm a little hesitant to buy online without seeing it in person. Is it sturdy?
Gorgeous crib and curtains. Wish Urban Outfitter's did those in a wider range of colours.
Does anyone know the name of this rug from Anthropologie? I'd love to be able to find the same one for our nursery!
