Parents often worry when they have to combine two kids into one room, but kids usually take it in stride. And why not when you get to share a sweet, stylish room with your sister. Jennifer tells us more: Our three-bedroom house is small, with small bedrooms; and the surprise arrival of a third child was a lesson in getting creative.

Because we didn't want to find out the sex of the baby but we knew we would have the baby share with our middle child (whose bedroom was already pink, black and white), I chose to make the baby's crib bedding in black and white only (just in case she turned out to be a boy) and even crocheted my own mobile of little black birds with one larger white one. Once she arrived, I ordered name decals in black to go over each girl's bed. Eventually they'll get bunk beds or some other space-saving idea... but for now, my five year old LOVES her shared room with her baby sister.

Thanks Jennifer, Edie & Isla!
