This orange (Tangerine Tango?) here is so fresh, bright and inviting. Kate tells us about this beautiful room: We wanted a fun nursery for our little man but we also have friends stay with us often and didn't want to lose an extra bedroom for company. So we made the space functional for both.
I had an orange comforter from IKEA from forever ago that I wanted to use as a base for the color palette. A close friend does some amazing illustrations that we loved and her owls just jumped out at us. My husband is a born hunter so I wanted to incorporate that somehow. When i started seeing the birch tree decals on different blog posts I was sold!
We did it on a pretty tight budget and all the furniture was handed down from other family members. The trees we ended up hand painting with a white semi-gloss paint to give it a little more texture.
Thanks Kate!

This is a lovely room!
So in love with the birch tree fad! Lovely shade of orange used. What no crib bumpers? Hee, hee
love it! the bird on the branch made me smile. love the window treatment! great room :D
I love that fabric.
This is so cool! I love the simplicity of the space compared to so many of the over-the-top nurseries shown on this site. I think this room will be more practical, and yet the design packs a lot of punch. Well done!
Lovely! I agree with the previous post - I like it for its simplicity. I can imagine a child liking it for many years (which is not true of many "baby rooms").
That's the way to deal with orange !! I really, really love it. The color are perfect, nothing is overly done, perfect decor.
Special wash for the owls, so cute !
Aw, so cute. I love how you made the room function for all of you.
Love this unisex nursery/guest room. I used to fall asleep breastfeeding my babies and think a bed in a nursery is so practical.
