Stacy shows that sometimes the best decor is simply things you like. And we like how it all comes together. She shares: I call Elodie's room "klein aber fein" which is German for "little but good." Since we live in a tiny 2-bedroom apartment, this room is a combination bedroom and guest room (we move her crib into our room when we have guests).

We moved into our apartment when I was 6 months pregnant so I didn't have a huge amount of time to spend decorating! I didn't really have a theme for her room, I just filled it with things I liked. Our neighbors were in disbelief we were having a girl, since we painted the room blue! Blue happens to be my favorite color, and pastel pink just wasn't going to fly! I also really like hot pink and lime green. And red. And orange.

So, as you can tell, there wasn't a well-planned theme, it just grew organically over the last couple of years. Many of the decorative objects were purchased as we travelled places with our daughter, or given to us as gifts. The photographs are of our mothers and myself as children, as well as baby photos of Elodie and photos of us with her. The furniture is IKEA. I hope you enjoy Elodie's offbeat little sanctuary!

Lovely! Thanks Stacy!
