Serenity now! And stripes now! Surely young Finn is as dashing as his room. His mother Lillie shares: I wanted something simple and clean with a lot of natural textures and colors. The rest of my house has only touches of modern, but I figured I could commit a little more in this small space... so I went a bit modern.

I used Benjamin Moore's classic gray as a base in Finn's room, had his bedding made by a friend with my fabric choices, framed some inexpensive Costco maps in Ikea frames, and used a window shade from Overstock. I especially love the lambskin rug and woven light fixture from Ikea.

The room was done on a budget, and it's the room I'd choose to sit in for some serenity any day.
