You can't help but feel renewed and energized by Gabriella's springy, garden-themed room. Her mom, Ella, describes: We moved into our first home in January (ufff - the coldest month) and I was so excited about doing my daughter's nursery, who was 4-months-old at the time. I couldn't wait for spring so I decided to bring a garden feel right into her room.
I painted a ladybug for her on a small canvas which was another inspiration for the room. We painted a soft blue on the top part of the wall and ceiling for the sky and the bottom part of the wall green for the grass. I added artificial grass and flowery/ bug wooden pieces to the wall for a touch of whimsy and fun.
I also saw the Artist in her and created an 'artist's wall' on one side of the room. We used a magnetic strip to hang a roll of craft paper - this is fun to get creative and draw or finger paint. We can even use this space to hang her art work or photos as well.
It's a great lively space that's always fun to be in.
Thanks Ella and Gabriella!

Adorable! What a lucky little girl!
Very cute! Love the toy organization/display. May I ask where you got the rocking elephant?
So cute! I love the artist wall. I'm gonna have to borrow.
I love the garden fence detail. Very cute!
Thank you so much Ohdeedoh for featuring my daughter's room. I was so excited to see these photos go up on your fabulous site.
Thanks for all the comments so far everyone. More photos are on my blog and I will post some current shots of how the room got transformed for a preschooler.
Shanti - I got the elephant at Homesense when I was still pregnant ;) (if I find the company that makes them I will come back and post the info)
Besquirrely - I got the fence at a dollar store, it's those little plastic outdoor garden fences and we trimmed off the spikes.
Thanks again. Here's the link for the photos on my blog: http://www.lifeologia.com/spring-is-here-in-the-nursery/
Just a note for anyone visiting that the room has grown into a wonderful space for a little preschooler. Visit the link below to see how now a 3 year old Gabriella is using it:
