Henry's room manages to be simultaneously sophisticated, charming and relaxed. His mom Holly tells us about some of her DIY projects for his room: There are lots of pretty bird mobiles online but they are so expensive. I found this driftwood branch at Marshalls and I used little flowers and birds from Hobby Lobby to decorate it and hung it with clear wire.
I used my Cricut machine to cut laminate and make the heart on the tree (which stands for me and my husbands initials and also for "everyone loves Henry") and the accents on the windows.
I bought neutral cubby bins at Target and used wool felt to decorate them. I then hand stitched them to give them a more finished look. (Fyi: it is much easier to trace or draw on the back of the felt first before cutting and use a glue gun to adhere.) I used wall Velcro to adhere the lion to the picture frame without the glass which has a cool 3D look in person. The bears on the lamps are cut out of paper and adhered to the interior of the lamp.

Nomade Express Slee...
Love it! Very nicely arranged and the colours are wonderful. Excellent idea with the felt to enliven the neutral bins. Very nice room :) I love the wall colour.
Those bins are gorgeous!
I love the koalas and the bins!
Super cute nursery, And yes those bins are extra sweet :)
Love those koalas!
Love this room! It's so sweet and perfect for a kid, but also really soothing for baby.
Man, I love that Anthro Mushroom Pouf.
such s a sweet room... I have the same rug in my daughter's room. I love it!
I just adore this room <3 so sweet!
The bear lamp shade, the mushroom stool! All precious as can be! So many details to adore in this room. The only part I have reservations about is the banner. I fear that banners are becoming the next "hanging lantern/tissue paper poof thing" in kids' rooms. As in, it's officially over used. It's hard to find a room now on Ohdeedoh without a banner in it. And no one is sadder about this than me. I crossed it off the list for decor ideas in my son's room for this very reason. Sigh.
Can you give us the paint color please? It's lovely.
Thanks for all the sweet feedback everyone!
P.S.
Casey,
The wall color is Silverberry and it can be found at Wal-Mart.
I really, really like this room. And I like the bunting as well :) I don't know if you just styled it like this for the photos, but the new recommendation is to not use a crib bumper, which is too bad in this case as it's super cute. I hope you can find a repurpose for it!
Lorien,
I'm not going to use the number when Henry gets here. I bought it months ago before the warning came out. Right now I just keep it up to keep my kitty out of the crib :)
Love this room! So cute!
Love the koala bears! Great job on the totes too!

Might have to steal the idea of decorating the cloth bins. Copying is the highest form of flattery, right? Ha ha, seriously though, they are adorable!
Monstergirl- I would suggest getting wool felt and not the sheets of felt at a craft store because it doesn't tear as easily. I used Giant Dwarf felt from Etsy. Her store has a lot of color choices.
It's good to see a fabulous nursery in Chattanooga! Great work, Holly. Love your little guy's name too.
Great room!
