Lisa tells us about her son's playful, colorful space: When I found out I was pregnant I began scouring the internet for nursery ideas. I found that most themes or sets sold in stores were pastel colors and just didn't suit our tastes. I wanted bright bold colors for our son's room and was determined not to fall into a cliche theme.

I started the room with a rug I found that I fell in love with and took all the colors from there. I really liked the idea of hanging vintage board games so I scoured eBay until I found some I liked...an old Chutes and Ladders and a vintage game called The Happy Little Train Game. We turned my husband's childhood books into floating wall shelves that could showcase items from our own childhood (silver cup, piggy band, stuffed animals). We found a set of alphabet flashcards that matched our colors perfectly and decided to hang them all on the wall because we couldn't pick a favorite.

We love how the room turned out and our son seems to really be mesmerized by all the bright and colorful colors. Plus we are like having so many elements from our own childhood in the room.

Thank you Lisa! Readers, find Lisa (and Jack!) at Lil' Trickster.
