Catrina had two design dilemmas to solve: sharing a room with her daughter and making do with the existing paint color. She describes, I share my room with my six-month-old daughter Lois. I have a small one bedroom apartment, therefore limited space and had to make the one bedroom into a space both of us could enjoy. I didn't want the room to be too babyish.
I ended up doing half mine, half hers. We don't have any plastic toys, only wooden or soft. I also cloth diaper, so needed a changing station. The yellow peacock feathers on the wall were cut out of contact paper and stuck on. The shelves for the toys were made out of laminate flooring hung on large brackets. I am not allowed to paint, so the current color is what it was when I moved in.
Thank you Catrina and Lois!
