Jessica punched up the neutral walls in her daughter's room by adding a striped accent walls as well as pops of color in the room's details. She shares:
As soon as I found out I was pregnant, all I could think of was planning the room! I knew I wanted something girly and modern with a touch of vintage. I also knew I wanted to avoid something too 'baby' so that the room could easily evolve as Lucy grew older.
I did the stripes on the wall first, followed by the pom poms and the rest grew from there. All of the furniture is reasonably priced (Walmart and Ikea) and the decor is a mix of thrift (some owl pieces, gold mirrors, gold frame), DIY (pom poms, wall art, crib skirt) and Etsy (pillows, hanger). My favorite pieces in this room are the 'Lucy' hanger with swimsuit, and the frame wall which features our hospital bracelets in a shadowbox, the horoscope from her birthday framed, and vintage gold mirrors.
