We're going to guess that Maddy's regal room has made her the envy of all her friends. Devida tells us more: I wanted to create a space for my 6 year old daughter that would be able to grow as she did and that she would not outgrow in a couple of years. I was working to a budget so new furniture and decor was out of the question. I decided to look at flea markets and antique malls for items and this is where a lot of my inspiration came from.
I found a local lady who buys antique/secondhand furniture and does them up. I paired up the vanity she painted with a wonderfully over-the-top gold mirror (thrifted!) and followed the gold theme above Maddy's headboard with gold framed mirrors that were all picked up secondhand.
The only new items in the room are the quilt, which I made, and the beautiful artwork on the walls which were all bought from artists on Etsy.
Thanks Devida and Maddy!
