Amanda kept it simple, classy and cute in her daughter's bedroom. She tells us more: When we found out we were having a girl I was so excited to start designing the nursery. I had just finished designing my son's "big boy" room (which I would also be happy to share) so I was in major design mode.

When deciding what to do in the nursery all I was really sure of was wanting to add some feminine touches, but not wanting it to be overly girly. So my color palette included raspberry rather than pink along with blue and green and touches of orange.

I also feel so inspired when I see a room where the design incorporates DIY projects. I made it my mission to do as much on my own as possible, not only to have a budget friendly room, but to feel rewarded too. I made the crib bedding, recovered the rocker and made my own wall art.

All sources and furniture can be found on my blog, Learning As We Go including the final nursery reveal.

Thanks Amanda!
