Like many parents Nina had to sacrifice a home office to make room for her daughter's arrival. Well she sure did make the most of it with this delightful orange and blue nursery. Nina describes: When we found out we are expecting our first baby girl, we did not know which room to "house" the baby. Whether converting the office to nursery, or keeping the office and retrofitting the guest room into nursery/guest room.
We decided on converting the office. We want her to have a room of her own where she can grow into. We kept the paint color the same which is Kelly Moore Malibu Beige. We like a neutral background as a canvas to start our design. We are not a big fan of pink and pastels. So we decided to choose orange and blue as our color scheme. We would like to focus on having more orange than the blue so that it looks more like a girl’s room. The nursery styles are modern and whimsy which can be easily transition to a toddler room without making many changes.
I used my own textile for the bedding, except for the crib sheet. I also re-upholstered a hand-me down glider and give it a fresh coat of paint. Both crib and changing tables are from Dwell Studio from Target. The pendant is from Lamps Plus. The artworks are from the lovely etsy seller, Umbrella Prints. The decals are from etsy seller, ShaNickers. The mobile is from Carter’s. All textiles are from Swanky Swell.
Thanks Nina and Mila!

Nomade Express Slee...
in love with this. well done.
so cute! i love your job on the glider!!! i have a similar one, that could use some modernizing!
I really love the textiles! I would have bought this in a second if I had spied it in a shop. Looks like a great start, but seems like there a few things missing. Is there any toy storage in this room? Are you thinking of leaving a plain white carpet are will you be adding a rug on top? That is a gorgeous dresser that is being used as a changing table- but there is no place for setting things (like baby wipes or dirty diaper that you just removed from the baby...)
Adorable! Excellent work, couldn't have done it better ourselves & we are professionals:)

I love orange and blue! It's the best combination and it works really well for a boy or a girl. I did my son's nursery in the same colors: http://www.everybodylovesbaby.com/english/lukis-pad/lukis-pad/

I love the pendent in the room! I have to ask is Mila a nickname or the full name?
Cute...love the fabric on the changing pad.
I agree, missing some storage and a diaper pail, but maybe that's OK for a pretty picture...
I love the glider! What kind is it?
Thank you for all the wonderful comment! Yes there is a toy storage inside the mirrored closet . I did think about putting an area rug to add colors to the floor but haven't found the right one. We realized about the diaper settings and bought an acrylic diaper caddy that can be attached to the changing table. Yes, Mila is her full name. Not sure what kind of gilder; it's a hand-me-down from my best friend :)
i have the same crib and changing table/dresser from target and was wondering where you are going to put diapers, ointments, etc. it is kind of hard to keep them in the top drawer and access them when you are standing there changing the baby. what kind of diaper caddy did you get and how did you attach it? thanks!
what color and brand did you use for the neutral gray/brown paint? love that color!
