What a terrific example of incorporating a theme into a room without feeling like it all came out of a box. Vanessa shares details of Noah's 'Space': After just moving into a new house and now that he just turned 5, it was a big rush to get his room up and going to make him feel 'at home'. We're still working on the 'moon' wall and hoping to keep personalizing the space, but so far he's loving it!
Here are some of my resources:
• Antique bed that I bought after college (antique to me too!) from Roundtop, TX (bi-annual acres of antique sale).
• Bedding and posters from Land of Nod.
• Retro tin robots bought online...
• Solar System hanging planets and nightlight moon from Uncle Milton.
• Rocket & stars wall decals from Etsy.
• Lamp & pillow covers from Target.
• Lampshade, curtains, and ties sewn myself.
Thanks Vanessa!

Shaw's Original Fir...
LOVE the room! I was just looking at the same sheets yesterday for my five year old, I think this convinced me to buy them.
I love this! It's such a kid's room, and I bet your son really enjoys it. The big bookcase is great too--I'd love something like that for my son's room.
Really really nice!
My boys would LOVE this room! It's adorable! (And I just may have to get those sheets now--super cool!)
We move in 5 weeks & this is exactly the theme (sheets and all) that I'm planning for my 3yo. Nicely done!
I have that same exact antique bed in my room, but mine is white. I always wondered what it would look like painted a darker color. Now I know. Neat.
Wow! Great job. Lucky little boy!
I have that bed too! Mine was white when I found it (on a porch..I approached and purchased). I immediately stripped it and sealed it. I've had it for years and since we had two baby boys, I thought I wouldn't use it again until we had a spare room. But maybe I could use it for one of the boys. I always thought it would be too girly but this is perfect!
Love the "moon" in particular -- so cute with the rocket and stars.
