We're so used to readers grappling with small rooms that we forget that big rooms can be a challenge too. Brianna tackled her son's large room with accent walls: one chalkboard, one chevron: We moved into a new home and the bedrooms are huge so we wanted to keep the space simple but not too 'empty'.
I found the sock monkey wall decal on Groupon (Blik) and I was inspired. I decided to tackle a chevron wall and went with grey and white with a stripe of orange for a nod to the sock monkey. We threw in a chalk board wall with a thrifted school desk and viola! We love how it turned out!

The chair is so cute! Did you get it recovered! Lovely modern room that will grow with him for a long while!
That sock monkey wall graphic is adorable!!
Seen a lot of chevron lately, but love the addition of the colored stripe. Very creative - love it!

I love the chevron ! any tips for how to do it evenly?
I think the chevron wall looks amazing. Great Idea and very well done.
looks great! love the chevron wall (the orange stripe is genius) and the chalkboard wall, too!
Awesome decal, love the room!
I don't like many baby rooms, but I LOVE this one. Awesome job!
Thanks for the kind words! The trick to getting it right is to measure meticulously, make pencil dots, then connect the dots with the tape. Also don't forget in your measurements to accommodate for the width of the tape. Sort of a little math exercise (:
Well a big graphic print like you have here is good for a room that is big. What about the door? the color on the door just doesn't fit with the room. Can you paint the door? I agree that the one red stripe is genius.
