Here's a great idea; avoid the crowds and sales tax and shop in your pajamas. Michael tells us more: We wanted an eclectic mix of old and new and so we started shopping right in our own home. About half of the items we simply pulled from other rooms.
Going with a grey and red scheme made it kid and adult friendly at the same time (although finding bedding was a nightmare in that scheme, Bananafish's Jungle Gym was just the right fit). Taking the closet doors off and making a changing nook was the perfect solution to the amount of furniture in the small space. We made a family tree mobile from a tree branch and vintage lockets. Each style locket and the length of the string determine the relationship to Quinten. Giving it a spin before naptime keeps him occupied.

Love the paint color on the walls. What is it?
I love this room. It's so clean and simple yet has such special details. Can you tell us more about the branch?
Sorry. Just read about the branch in the post. Beautiful and genius!
wow, what a gorgeous room! it's so classy and sweet while not being babyish. LOVE the red accent wall in the closet and on the chair. so beautiful. well done!
Looks great--I especially love how that chair works in the room. What a soothing, clean, and warm space. And, yeah, make with the paint color! I'm looking for something like it for my living room!
Thanks! The red paint is Martha Stewart's Bougainvillea, and the grey is MS Sharkey Grey.
I also need to know the paint color :D
Thanks! Ooh, I knew looking at the paint chips that I would like that Sharkey Grey on the wall--now maybe I need to run out and buy a few gallons before HD discontinues it!
I really love the little elephant! Where did it come from?
I would love to know where the rug is from! Thanks!
Actually, only the MS paint is being discontinued not the actual colors.
The elephant is from a local boutique, but can be found here: http://mannyandsimon.com/innerindex.php?link=product_detail&id=57
The rug is IKEA Hampen.
I love the room! However, I don't actually see any photos of the crib or crib bedding. I'd be curious to see it, since you mentioned it in the post. Great job! My favorite thing is the little couch and the chair. And the branch. Oh heck, I like it all.
Would love to know about the blue print on the wall above the sofa - are those fish?
Thanks!
This is a beautiful space! I love/hate it when I come a across a nursery that makes me want to completely redecorate my son's room!
Very fresh looking. This doesn't look like all the other rooms, and I mean that in the best possible way.
I'd also love to know about the print above the daybed... the blue one with the shark...
This is beautiful! I'd love to know about the string of lights. Where did you get it?
Sorry for not including a photo of the bedding--the limit on photos made it difficult. The bedding is here though and it looks better in person:

The print is from James Mattison:

The cafe lights are one of my favorite details and are from here:

Where is the globe from? Is it vintage or reproduction? Thanks!
The globe is vintage, sorry!
is the chair a glider? where is it from?
The chair is a glider. It's not sold online, but you can find a local retailer here:

Actually, I take that back--it's a rocker.
