My Room: Sawyer

Columbus, OH

Addie had a few goals for Sawyer's room; check, check and check! She shares: In our two bedroom, one bath Clintonville Charmer we wanted to design a room that was cozy but not themey, gender neutral (we waited until Sawyer was born to found out he was our baby boy!) yet still acommodated overnight guests. In keeping with a fairly neutral pallet (minus the green walls of course!) we paired vintage pieces (the dresser which also serves as a changing table and the reclaimed barn wood, window pane bookshelf - both from Sobo Style), with a bed passed down in the family painted white and a new Jenny Lind style crib.

Mixing space saving ideas (the long crib skirt hides diapers and the long bed skirt hides pull out drawers for the linens) with inexpensive decorating pieces (the letter press posters are from Etsy and the magnetic photo board is made of sheet metal) with an Eames replica rocking chair and quilt that my twin sister had made for Sawyer from quilt squares my grandmother had left made Sawyers room a place full of color, love and warmth while keeping with the overall style of the home.

Thanks Addie! It's lovely!
