Amy and Jon's three girls share this terrific room. Amy tells us more: We currently have our three daughters, Sophia (age 5), Ava (age 3), and Olivia (aka Baby O, age 1) all sharing the same bedroom. The room is only 9' by 14' which was an obstacle to overcome. But the room works well for them and they still have plenty of room for play.
We did the walls in bright white and left their toys to fill in the color. All of their shelves are normal floating shelves that we hung, filled the gap between the wall and the shelf with caulk, then painted them the same color as the walls so they appear to be built right out of the wall.
Did you know that a queen sized comforter can be divided exactly into four to create four perfectly sized comforters for a crib/toddler bed? I purchased an Alexander Girard comforter and divided it up so Sophia and Ava have matching bedding, costing a fraction of the cost of most crib bedding. All of their furniture is from Oeuf which has held up beautifully over the past five years.
I collect vintage toys and also wood animal sculptures which decorate the high shelves in their room. Their book collection is their prize possession and they all (including Baby O) sit and look at books together.
Thanks Amy, Jon, Sophia, Ava and Olivia!

What a delightful little room for your three girls! My two girls share a room, and when the third girl is born, she will also be inhabiting the room as well.
Is the bed next to the dresser from ikea? I know one is from Oeuf not sure if you just removed the bars? I've been debating on whether or not to buy a toddler bed or a twin size bed, I have a 2 year old and he's pretty tall. I also liked the kid Kraft bed:

Or this one from Pkolino:

Does anyone have these that could help me make a decision? Thanks.
Where are the letters above the beds from???
I like this room a lot. A little confused why the chalk boards are hung so high, though. How do the kiddies reach them?
OMG! Scratch that last comment...I just realized the "chalkboards" are window treatments! Ha! Need a new pair o' glasses. :)
in the 3rd picture, who makes that sun poster? I LOVE IT!
I think I saw the print of the sun Canvas at either Urban Outfitters or Anthropology.
Love the bookshelf! I think I should know where it's from, but just can't figure it out today... can anyone help me?
So cute and creative. The colours look great without being overwhelming on that white background - good choice. What lucky girls!
SO cute, dont think I have seen a room that works so well for 3 kids. Great job!

The bookcase is also Oeuf: http://www.designpublic.com/shop/oeuf/4787
The two beds are Oeuf as well as the crib, dressers, and bookshelf. For Sophia, we took off the rails to make it seem like a bigger kid bed. She is five and still fits nicely. The letters S and O are vintage signage and the A is from Anthropologie. The Sun Canvas Print is Alexander Girard. It was a steal at 75% off at Urban Outfitters. Thank you all for the wonderful comments!

Would love to see a close up of the alphabet on the wall. Way to represent Saint Louis!
This is beautiful. But how do you deal with a crying baby in a room without disturbing napping little ones? I'm not judging, I'm just challenged on having a singleton!
These are the exact dimensions of the room my 4 & 1 year old share, and where we will probably add one more child before we move. What a wonderful room and a wonderful inspiration! And thanks for the quilt tip - smart.
I love the library organized by color!
That sun print is by Alexander Girard.

Is your 4-year old still in a toddledr bed? We're just considering upgrading to a toddler bed, mainly coz we splurged on an organic crib mattress and I don't want to give it up, and it's encouraging to know that it will last us a few more years.
Sorry, I meant to say ' your 5-year-old'.
Yes, Sophia (5) is still in her toddler bed. She will need to move to a bigger bed later this year.
We are currently developing a space plan for two babes in a room a little smaller than this one, so your space is so encouraging! Thanks for sharing!
Is it just the one dresser and changing table/dresser for the three girls? It looks like you converted the closet into the changing area, so I'm wondering where all the "stuff" is! We currently have a wide dresser for just our daughter, half with clothes and half with diapers and misc other items. You MUST have a stash somewhere else, right??? Otherwise, I want to know your secret.
Amy and Jon live in my neighborhood and the respect they have for the original design of their 1958 atomic ranch simply knocks my socks off. I once told Amy when I see her feeding her baby through her dining room window, I just feel I am looking at a House and Gardens magazine from that era. No doubt, she and Jon apply their knowledge of mid-century quite well, as evidenced by this knock-out room for their daughters.
Hi peachypear, We have two Oeuf dressers for the three girls. We buy diapers and wipes in bulk and they are stored in a closet outside of their bedroom. We restock the diaper drawer as needed. We have two Kartell storage units that hide the toys, etc. We took the doors off of the closet because the girls were not able to open them by themselves anyway and it works perfectly for one dresser with the changing table.
Rose, I adore you. Thank you for your kind comments. We must get together again soon! Amy
This is a fabulous room! The design is great, and so is the use of the space. I also love they way you've really thought of the girls in everything you've done.
