My Room: Sullivan

West Bloomfield, MI

When Tracy says "no pastels" she's not kidding! This citrusey space has tons of energy:
We wanted our son's room to be bright, funky and unique, just like him. We wanted it to be modern and fun but not "babyish." No pastels for us here!

The genesis for the room came all from our first love, the wall color, Japanese Fern by Behr, that I found here on Ohdeedoh [ed. note: seen in Harriet's room]. The crib and dresser are from Ikea. I mixed different colors and textures to make the room interesting but still modern and simple. Ikea does that really well.

The chair is our godsend, we are logging lots of miles in it already! It was a gift from my parents and custom ordered from BuyBuyBaby.

My favorite elements in the room are by far the mobile and the wall decor. The mobile is from the MOMA store and well, who doesn't love the black sheep? The vintage posters were framed and mounted by me and the artwork over the chair was from Etsy. My son loves staring at them while rocking in his chair.

Thanks Tracy and Sullivan!
