My Room: William

St. Paul, MN

Kristin calls William's lovely room a work-in-progress...well, we'd say they've made a lot of progress! She tells us more: My husband, Matt, and I really like Swedish, modern design, and my dad is from Sweden, so that was our main inspiration, along with the striped rug from Room & Board. We also wanted a simple and modern nursery that could grow with our son. Other Ohdeedoh nurseries, like Ozzy's and Daley's, also gave us some great ideas.

We also love books and reading, so we knew we wanted a bookcase and comfortable spot for bedtime reading. My favorite elements are the W print, mobile and wooden block set that Matt's dad made.

The main problems in our entire house are radiators in every room and numerous windows in every room (a blessing and a curse), not leaving us much flat wall space. It's also a small room. Not being designers/decorators, we did the best we could to work with the space and utilize the natural light. We still want to put something like a shelf or frames by the crib, but haven't been able to find something we love on that wall. It's still a work in progress!
