I'm Anthony and currently a grad student in the Human Computer Interaction Design program at Indiana University Bloomington. I plan to move to Chicago, IL in a few months to start working as an Interaction Designer. My passion is audiophile gear, home theaters, and integrating smart technology into the home in eloquent, minimalistic style.
The Panasonic Lumix GF-1 is my camera of choice. It's great for low-light conditions, portraits, and product photography.
My Apple MacBook Pro goes with me everywhere I go. It's a powerhouse, just light enough, and has a decent battery life. Although, I am a firm believer that smartphones are the wave of the future. My current pick is the Apple iPhone 3GS. Its simple layout is everything I wish for in usable phone design.
My Toshiba LED TV is my baby. Being less than 0.3" thin, it makes me smile every time I walk past it. Alongside it is the almighty Sony Playstation 3 - my second love. It allows streaming of all of my media and provides plenty of endless hours of entertainment.
The brains of my home is the router. I chose the Apple Airport Extreme for its dual band capability and USB port that allows wireless printing from any computer in the house. On the side, the Apple Airport Express allows easy expansion of my wireless coverage and AirTunes lets me play music around the house so I can listen to my jams in the kitchen while cookin' bacon and eggs every morning.
The Music Hall dac25.2 takes all of my digital music and feeds it through a series of tubes for a warm, sultry sound signature that I've learned to long for during my extended business trips. Nothing sounds better than this digital to analog converter.
My Grado SR225i Headphones are probably one of the best headphones I've heard in this price category. Its excellent build and sound quality makes it hard to beat.
I love my Audioengine A2 speakers. They're portable enough to be bring to small-medium sized parties and deliver unbelievable clarify for their size.
Technology/device I'm most looking forward to in 2011: The next wave of ultra-ultra portable computers.
Tech or tech organizational tip: Cord control is the key, baby. Keep the wires off the floor and hide them by any means possible. You can easily transform an entire space with just one simple fix.
I never leave home without: My Lumix GF-1.
