We love play food fit for pint-sized kitchens but many folks are choosing different dietary paths these days, so adding a few new foods to your little one's pantry isn't a bad idea. Can you tell what these speckled circular rounds are?
It's a veggie burger! Although most households are meat eating, many aren't and we can see where a veggie burger patty might come in helpful for some children. It's a fun thing to throw in the mix, don't forget about things like tofu as well if you plan on diy-ing something along these lines.
You can find this tasty treat over at Shak Shuka for right around $2.50USD. At that price, how can you go wrong? What other play foods would you like to see made? Let us know in the comments below!

Shaw's Original Fir...
Heh - I thought they were giant felafels.
i thought if i stared at it long enough, i would see a bust of george washington or maybe a walrus. that was a waste of 20 minutes. lol.
I thought they were metamucil tablets or something. :-)
Haha, I was right! But I'm a vegetarian, so we buy those on occasion.
I'm vegetarian. I would never eat veggie burgers that look like that nor have I ever seen one like that lol. I thought they were some sort of pill.
i too thought they were a pill. i like my food to be identifiable! ;D
I can't really picture what it would look like, but play hummus and pita would be much appreciated by my son. I also like the falafel idea--you could do a whole play falafel stand, with the toppings bar and squirt bottles of tahini!
*play* food, people! Made of wood
hwo about tofu or pitas or other vegetarian dishes?
