Name: Elijah (almost 2)
Location: Chicago, IL (Crown Fountain at Millennium Park)
Favorite Family-Friendly Place To See or Thing To Do Here: Outdoors: Millennium Park, specifically, splashing in Crown Fountain. Indoors: Museum of Science and Industry. In Chicago, be sure to look up the free days at the museums. Go on those days to save money, or avoid those days to avoid the crowds.
Best Tip for Traveling with Kids: We've discovered that wherever we are, lots of time to run around freely plus plenty of snacks and water are the key to our little guy being happy.
Favorite Way to Make it Feel Like Home: We live nearby, so this was more of a "stay-cation" day trip for us. We've found that our toddler is much more happy in our regular full-size stroller, so we take that one for all-day trips, including those on public transit. Plus, it's easier to stash a day's worth of stuff in the big basket underneath.
An Item you MUST Take With You While Traveling: A complete change of clothes, including hat and waterproof shoes, for splashing and messy outdoor fun! For overnight stays, Blankie & Bear always go along.
