Why yes, there is an app for that. Hosting Thanksgiving dinner, that is. It helps you with everything from the menu to the guest list and budget. Created by Rhode Island architect Naomi Neville, she says the app was "designed by an overworked architect who strives for clarity".
The app made us curious about the woman behind it, so we checked out the website for Nelville's firm, Neville Architecture and Environmental Consulting Ltd.. There, we spotted Nelville's book, The Friendly House (PDF). It focuses on the elderly and growing old in your home, but also just on good residential design made up of personalized, meaningful details. Some of the images from The Friendly House are shown here to give you an idea of the warmth and coziness created in Neville's designs.
From this, we can see the Thanksgiving app blossoming. This is apparently someone who gives a great deal of thought to making people feel comfortable and welcomed, which is always an important part of a good host's job.
