No one is a bigger fan of well executed minimalism than I am, but those sofa legs look cheap and inelegant - the proportion is too long relative to the body of the sofa and they look like cheap Ikea sofa legs.I don't know why Calvin Klein Home has had such a hard time getting the furniture right. The magic of minimalism is understanding that the details (like the sofa legs) matter more than they do with other styles - because with minimalism, the sum of the details is all you've got to work with. They've been at this for 6 years now, and I've tried to remain excited -- but they have yet to fully deliver on the promise of the brand.
Calvin Klein is definitely NOT rocking it this year. Do not like any of the furniture you've posted from him. @Richard...I'm guessing that since he took his brand public many years ago the only thing he's maintained exclusive control over is the clothing. The rest is just the licensing of his name on whatever products. And as with all product lines controlled by stock holders the idea is to put a name on products with little creative input and get them made as cheaply as possible and hope that unsuspecting buyers will just be wowed by the name.
Guess, I'm in the minority of commenters here. *Love* this sofa. I don't know the price point though, and perhaps, RichardinLA is correct that the sofa legs look too cheap. I've always loved this sofa style though and it can be awfully difficult to find.
