National Gallery Buys First American Painting

Britain's National Gallery has bought its first-ever painting by an American artist. The purchase of "Men of the Docks" by George Bellows is a departure from the Gallery's previous policy of only acquiring pieces by artists working in Western Europe. The piece goes on display today.
