beautiful. you have a nice aesthetic. i like the color palette, and how everything works together. that is something i can never pull off, just getting it all to work together cohesively. that's tough to do, and i think that's where having the "ability" becomes apparent.

Natural neutrals are my go-to favourite when decorating. edmundd - I think the key to making it work is to incorporate a few pops of colour as in this room (the red of the artwork and the blue of the chair cushions). If not it can look a bit 'blah'. :)

Nah, this is suffering from a serious case of the blah's. Ho hum, boring beige. Hey I've got an idea, why don't you make everything white! Furniture, slipcovers, walls, lamps.....That would be SO different! (NOT) The monotone thing does not do it for me, where is the life in this room?

I love color--my house looks like a crayon box sometimes. But this is so lovely. I think the nice natural light makes it work.
