With all the recent discussion about dealing with holiday decorations in small spaces and possibly foregoing the tree all together, we love the idea of infusing your space with nature by placing it inside the ornaments themselves.
Influenced by nature and those who love it, Land-Rich seeks "to provide beautiful objects that symbolize the quality, functionality, and sustainability of simpler times."
Based out of Brooklyn, they release a new edition of products every quarter. The ornaments are their most current edition.
CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT:
• Yarrow Bulb: The bulb is decorated with dried flowers of Achillea millefolium or Yarrow, a flowering plant native to the Northern Hemisphere.
• Salal Bulb: Preserved leaves of Gaultheria shallon or Salal, a hardy evergreen shrub most commonly found in the Pacific Northwest, were sculpted inside a glass bulb.
• Moss Bulb: This bulb is decorated with a display of various hues of moss and twigs of Cladonia rangiferina or Reindeer Moss, primarily found in areas of Alpine tundra and an essential food for reindeer.
• Tallow Berry Bulb: A beautiful cluster of twigs of Triadica sebifera or the Chinese tallow tree, native to eastern Asia, are arranged inside the glass bulb.
The decorative bulbs can be purchased online through Land-Rich for the following amounts:
• $10 for small 3.26" bulb or $36 for a set of any 4 small bulbs
• $14 for large 3.93" bulb or $26 for a set of any 2 large bulbs

Oh my goodness, I need to make something similar like, NOW! I just got a flood of ideas on where to put them and what to put in them for "beyond the holiday" decor.
SO awesome!!
OMG, I am TOTALLY making those!! Beautiful!!
These are really fantastic.
LOVE these! Especially the moss one!
I saw some clear glass bulbs at Target a few days ago that would be easy enough to stuff.
I started making similar decorations years ago. I made a bunch to give away as gifts (trying to tailor the stuff inside to the person's likes or personality) but made the majority for my own use with sand, a bit of glitter and small shells, to use for decorating my "beach" tree.
I know most of the AT community prefers to use an alternative to bleach, but if you (or family and friends) have decided that your regular glass christmas balls are too scratched/faded/etc. and need to be replaced, they can actually be soaked in a bucket of bleach which will remove all the color from the outside and inside. You can then re-use them by putting something on the inside, or painting the outside, if you're artistic. Or you can cut colored tissue paper into different shapes and adhere it to the ornament with a watered down glue solution for a "stained glass" effect.
these are precious!
I can't wait to create my own!
They are stunning.. just understated beauty!!!
Splendid! Inspired to create something quite similar. Glass balls shouldn't be too difficult to find.
they sell the empty one in Michaels craft stores, you can put anything you would like inside including pictures of loves ones and even small items reminding you of your childhood.
