
Is good design made or born? The folks at BUILDblog have been analyzing the living room fort scene, and they've determined something early childhood specialists have known for quite some time: Couch cushion architecture established the basic building blocks of our design logic.

Fans of Unhappy Hipsters will find these humorous architectural critiques equally amusing. But after reading the full post, not only did I gain a new appreciation of my child's native design sense, I couldn't wait to get the cushions off and start building!

Who says couch forts stop at childhood? To this day I am plotting out grand schemes for interior fort architecture...
I spent half of my childhood doing this with my sisters... we live in Chile and we called it "casita abrigadita".. it's the diminutive of "wrapped up warm house" or something like that... today I'm an architect.
