Last week we spotted these images of the summer cabin of designer Carouschka Streijiffert taken by photograph Martin Löf on Oh Joy. We haven't been able to stop thinking about them. We're not usually fans of black and white interiors, but, in this case, with a shot of blue, we're smitten.
The home is located on one of the islands of the Stockholm archipelago. Carouschka uses an open military boat to travel from her Stockholm apartment to her summer home. We love the home's casual elegance. Restraint in decorative accessories seems to be a key to keep the home feeling serene and airy. We love that indoor hammock. what a gorgeous place! actually, there is nothing about it i do not like ...
from the outside it looks really cool...but it sorta falls short for me. what's with the hammock next to the bed? and why is there a airmatress on the floor. maybe its a swedish thing.

LittleRock, what's strange about the hammock? I think it serves a purpose different than the bed's, and looks like that spot is the only indoors space available to hung it.
It would be a fun novelty on vacation, but I wouldn't choose to live in it on a regular basis. There isn't any real comfortable bedding and the patio rails would be unsafe for the little ones.
I like it! Hubby n I would find that quite comfy I think.
Totally staged photo. The bed skirt is unravelling, and I know that Swedish folks have legs, so how could they ever use that table. The whole place looks so uncomfortable and hard.
What's with the stairs dominating the entire space, a cool ladder would work better, or better yet move them to the wall. I wouldn't pay 10 cents to stay here.

It's not my favorite cabin or Swedish-home post, but I love the bleached wood and pale walls. Agree about the dining table being uncomfortable for anyone with legs.
But, Peachpie, you do realize that a lot of interiors on this site are "staged," right?
