This rope rug by UK textile house Angharad McLaren is knotted together with recycled climbing rope. When we first saw it, we immediately thought how cool it would look in our bathroom. We also found a few tutorials on how to make your own knotted rope rug—a good option seeing as how the above rug is currently sold out.

This rope rug is for sale at NotOnTheHighStreet.com for £68.00, although it's currently unavailable. Interested in making your own? Check out this tutorial on making a plait rug from Martha Stewart and this tutorial on how to weave a rope mat> from Scullion Enterprise.

This is great! I looked up rope on amazon, and there are so many cheap options. Could make a full-size rug for less than $10 and how much fun would it be! The options are endless in terms of size, shape, and colour. I can imagine making coasters or trivets too. Thanks for the idea. :)
