We wanted to create a gender neutral, bright and fun space for our little one. The space was kind of small and it was important that it not only functioned well but also had some open space for Neev to be able to play and for us to hang out.
My inspiration was the peacock pillow (in his crib) embroidered in primary colors on a black and white base, which I picked up from a handicraft store in the beautiful city of Pondicherry (India) the day before we found out we were pregnant! That was the jumping off point for the whole design.
We kept the black and white shell theme with white walls and dark furniture and went with colors everywhere else. A lot of the little things are collected from our travels and represent our love for various cultures and art.
I followed no rules and just went with what I loved. The result is a vibrant fun space where we all love to spend time.
