Neil's Classic Storybook/British Invasion Mish Mash

My Room

Name: Neil (4 months)
Location: Long Beach, California

For the nursery, I initially took color inspiration from the vintage book cover for Donkey, Donkey: red, yellow, blue, and gray. From there, it evolved into a classic storybook/British invasion mish- mash.

Being our second child's room and our old office, we went secondhand on many of the furnishings: the dresser is mine from childhood, the armoire is a computer desk turned into clothing storage with a tension rod, the rocker we owned, the crib is IKEA via Craigslist. The rest of the decor is cheap cheap!!---$1 paper lanterns, color photocopied pictures, IKEA frames, a gifted pennant banner, homemade coat rack, $10 IKEA star light. The only splurges were the gray shag rug (from rugsusa.com) and the curtain fabric (Echo by Lotta Jansdotter).

Thanks for sharing Jaime!
