Nemo's Downsized Digs

My Room

Name: Nemo
Location: Brooklyn, NY

Getting creative with space is something all New York City parents are used to. We hit the jackpot with our first place and our daughter ended up with a big (HUGE) bedroom.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. We moved into a new apartment with a great location but considerably less space. With only one designated bedroom, we decided to convert our walk-in closet into our daughter's room. Yep, a closet room. Once we took care of the storage space dilemma (with some shelving, a hand-painted vintage armoire, and a couple of under-the-bed storage boxes) the rest came easy.

I wanted her room to be cheery, bright and beautiful - her own little oasis away from the chaos that is the city. It's a place for her to relax and create. Full of colorful patterns, paintings, and all of the art supplies a little girl could ever hope for. Her room may be itty bitty, but oh does it have character.
