When it comes to upholstering their vintage pieces, we've always admired Monument for their bold fabric choices. When we first saw this settee we sort of just passed it by. Then we realized we went back looking for it. Twice. It's... it's weird looking. And to be honest, that's why we like it!

The settee is Italian patinated brass with compass motif back and patent leather upholstered seat. It's from 1950 and it's (take a deep breath) $6,800.

I like Monument also.. but it sure seems like their publicist is doing a hell of a good job with the press they have been getting here on A.T. S.F.... Can we expect another one of their pieces to be on A.T. in July now?
In the past few months the only one A.T. has missed is April.
A.T. likes high end, so have they thought about taking a walk and check out the design stores on Kansas St and the surrounding area? You know, I do believe Monument has a store there also.
