...based on a buttery pale yellow and a chalky turquoise blue. It felt a bit like stepping into one of our vintage decorating books.
They combined it with lots of white and brown and some of an almost-lime spring green, which made it a touch more modern.
What do you think of this color combo? Fresh all over again or too retro to revive?

Shaw's Original Fir...
Wow, I love it.
Love it. Very retro, yet fresh looking.
I love it too. I think it would only feel retro if the furniture and accessories were retro inspired as well.
More love! I had been trying to decide what color to add to my chalky turquoise bedroom and now I know...butter yellow!
Ohhhh I love this color combo to the death. My kitchen (in a 1950s art-deco building in Downtown Denver) has this color combination for the tile, and it is so bright and cheery. May or may not have been a deciding factor in choosing the place...
Guess I'm the only one who doesn't like this. A slightly queasy color combination...what's the next 'hip' color combination? Harvest gold and avocado green?
I'm not big on the green, but love the turquoise and yellow!
This reminds me of Little P's nursery featured on Ohdeedoh... a fresher take on the color palette IMO:

Ick - The yellow is leaning too far towards Mustard for me - even in #4 where it's paired with Lime Green (Not turquoise)
i hate that yellow! light mustard (whatever you call it) is not for me... i love lemon yellow in small doses.
I'm seeking suggestions for a turquois paint color for my living room.
I really like the chair and table in the first photo. Worhty of designing a room around!
That's exactly the color I want to do the future nursery, with white furniture and accessories with red and dark brown accents.
I wish I knew what that paint color was. . .
