In 1988, my most prized possession was a set of fluorescent markers. I eagerly colored everything I could get my hands on in shades of neon yellow and orange, bright blue and green, and in-your-face hot pink. This childhood obsession might help explain why I'm so excited to see neon colors coming back in a big way. So the shades that dominated the 80s are back, but, fortunately, with a little more restraint this time around. Try adding just one neon object to a room of otherwise well-behaved shades. I love how just a tiny touch of these bright, bold colors can instantly make a room more lively and playful. Images: 1. Design*Sponge 2. Emmas Designblogg 3. Canter & Cave 4. Profound Magazine 5.
