We've posted about neat and beautiful bookshelves and how to organize your bookshelves, but what about creating fun, nerdtastic art with your books? The pixel-pushing graphic designer in me is dying over this...though, I wonder how I would be able to figure out which books are which?
Icoeye created this fun tutorial and has provided a downloadable template from their site. It works best if your books are all close to the same size, and it's even better if they're small so you can use recycled letter sized copy paper. Just print on the clean side and you've given a pile of paper from the recycle bin a new purpose.
My suggestion for knowing what each book really is would be to print it small in a greytone along the spine, so the effect would still work from afar, but up close you wouldn't have to rifle through every title each time you go to grab a book.
