We find the design choices a homeowner makes when moving from their old pad to their new digs fascinating. We've always thought of a move as an opportunity to start over (but still incorporating our favorite things). Nestled In recently moved to a new dwelling place and we're inspired by their well edited rooms. More views after the jump!
The vintage red and white patterned wallpaper makes the white furniture stand out from the backdrop.
Laure has previously suggested using non-traditional containers for succulents and we love Nestled In's idea of using a ceramic bowl for their plants.
Katja (from Nestled In) sticks to a white living area with red accents. We love the use of magazine files to stow newspapers, incoming mail and magazines out of view.
Katja switches out twin chairs as bedside tables and replaces them with these handsome night stands.

Where did the pillows come from? I love them! Those gorgeous wood floors could use a nice art rug to set them off but otherwise, this space gets my thumbs up.

A great pair of bedside tables. Mismatched but clearly a set. Very cool.
Where did you get the cute red 2 that's featured on one of the nightstands?
GrizzleBizzle noted the nightstands are mismatched. They are so well paired that I didn't even notice it. Normally that would be a feng shui faux pas, but in this case they work as they clearly ARE a set. A very good representation of the symbolic separate-but-equal individuals who form a couple. I would like permission to use this photo on my blog to demonstrate that (if I may?). Thanks!

The sofa pillows are made from Vanitas fabric from Marimekko, and the 2 was a thrift store find. We have moved in quite recently so that's why there isn't much on the walls - and we still need to buy a rug for the livingroom. Thanks everyone for your nice comments! :)
These girls are amazing! Their blog is a huge inspiration for me, I love the laid back attitude and the suprozing details.
What kind of plants are those (the one in the first picture particularly)? Great layout, gals...very inspirational.
What's your screen saver?! I want it too!
tomsaville, the plans are succulents/succulent plants, see Wikipedia for more information. They are grateful plants since they don't require much water to survive and grow.
The screensaver is Fliqlo which can be downloaded from 9031 for both Mac OS X and Windows.
