For 21 and over fans of the cult hit show, Stranger Things, Chicago-based Emporium Arcade Bar's "end of summer" pop-up is the stuff Netflix (and chill?) dreams are made of. But the same cannot be said for Netflix. According to Variety, Netflix issued a cease-and-desist letter to the bar's owners, albeit one that was worthy of a true Stranger Things enthusiast.

In the letter posted by DNAInfo Chicago's Mina Bloom, Netflix's legal counsel seemingly tested the owners' — and consequently, our own — knowledge of Stranger Things Season 1, referencing the nuanced '80s series with quirky lines like:

"My walkie talkie is busted so I had to write this note instead."
"...unless I'm living in the Upside Down, I don't think we did a deal with you for this pop-up."
"We're not going to go full Dr. Brenner on you."

And my personal favorite and quite frankly, an epic closer:

"We love our fans more than anything, but you should know that the demogorgon is not always as forgiving. So please don't make us call your mom."

Not exactly the type of legal missive you might expect from a major entertainment network, right? I'd go so far as to say the request is not only reasonable, but still manages to play to the show's enduring underdog charm.

And, hey, if you're in Chicago or planning to visit before October 1st, there's still time to indulge in the Stranger Things-themed $10 cocktails (think Eleven's Eggo's, Mouthbreather, and She's Our Friend and She's Crazy), get your fix of the Hawkins, Indiana-inspired decor, and of course, snag an Instagram-worthy snap of the infamous string lights-and-ABC wall.

For everyone else, here's to being reunited with the motley Stranger Things crew come October 27th when Season 2 premieres.
