Netgear: We're Open Source and We Want You To Know

Although Linksys Linux-based Tomato and DD-WRT firmwares (used to give routers speaker powers for speed monitoring, traffic controls, and tons of other options) have been around for a while now, Netgear has recently gotten fancy with its marketing by aiming its latest WGR614L router at all the DIY's out there.

The wireless-G router has some pretty decent specs, but the hackability should be the main reason to keep an eye on this router, especially if you're looking to add some fancy features to that home network of yours. The router should be available within the week for $69, a bargain for potential open-source goodness.
