Q: How do I keep my husband from misplacing his iPod Nano? Is there some kind of homing device we can attach to it? It's just too dang small. He's misplaced it a couple times already since Christmas!
A: Great question, Kay!
The new iPod Nano is one of the smallest that Apple produces (only dwarfed by the iPod Shuffle). While there is not a stand alone solution to help you find a misplaced iPod, you can create your own with a little bit of ingenuity. Using a case for your iPod that allows you to attach any of these electronic key finders. That would be an ideal solution! Simply attach the electronic keyfinder to the loop and voilá! never loose your iPod again!
These cases will work for that hack:

Now, if you are using an iPhone or iPod Touch as your media player, there's nothing easier to use than Find My Phone. Of course, this App (that you can access from anywhere you have internet), will only provide you with the device's location on a map, and not a precise point inside your house. It will be handy if you left your iPhone/iPod at the gym or at work, at least you know where is it. You can even send custom messages and sounds to the handset, and even lock and wipe all its content from a remote computer connected to the web, in case you are suspicious it has landed in the wrong hands.
