SeaGlass, a new undersea-themed carousel designed by WXY Architecture will open this fall in Lower Manhattan's Battery Park. Instead of horses on poles that go in a circle, this carousel has glass sea creatures that "swim," with all together 18 axes of movement to recreate an underwater ride.
In other news, the Staten Island ferris wheel may get Google Glass technology, and Niagra Falls is offering debt relief to people who move to the shrinking city. See the headlines after the jump.
