We've always been fans of John Robshaw's collection for Anthropologie, which is slightly
less expensive than his own product line. These cotton dhurrie rugs, new to the collection, have quickly become our current Robshaw obsession. In true Robshaw style, the patterns are hand-block-printed on the rugs instead of woven into them. More after the jump...
The charming "Lollipop Blossom" design is our favorite, but we like this more traditional geometric pattern too. Not having seen them in person, we're curious how the block-printing looks on the nubbly cotton weave. Usually Robshaw's block-prints, since they're hand-done, have an appealing imperfect quality. Not sure how this would come across on a carpet, though. Anyone seen these rugs up close?
All three designs are available at Anthropologie, $78 for a 2'x3' throw rug and $698 for the 6'x9' carpet.
