There's no hiding the fact that we're suckers for new cleaning tools, especially when they're all dressed up in bright white and orange. But these tools didn't just get a new wardrobe, each has new trick up its sleeve (what? Mops have sleeves!) that might have you headed to the store as well. See why we're so giddy — after the jump!
Some may argue that a broom is just a broom and a mop is just a mop, but we love seeing products that take the needs of real life trials and adjust their design as needed. These Bissell products have us headed to the store to test them out. Clean up in aisle 9? We're on it!
• Pet Hair Broom: Now as many pet owners will tell you, sweeping doesn't always get all the stray fur left behind from your pets. Regular brooms don't always catch fine dust either, but this broom is geared to tackle everything from fine to fur, it's built in rubber bristles are intended to catch it all. The testimonials on the site are pretty intense and ridiculously supportive, we're curious if anyone has tried them out in your own home? Retail: $24.99
• Scoop & Dustpan Set: Although a dustpan doesn't seem like the highlight of anyone's day, it is to us. We happen to be ridiculously clumsy and are often cleaning up after silly spills and messes. This set tackles wet and dry floor infractions and is meant to hold things in with two pockets in the back. Spill your milk? Brush it up, tip it back and go back for the remainder if you didn't get it all — all without spilling things back out! Retail $10.99
• Microfiber Lightweight Mop: Our biggest problem with microfiber mops is that our floors are generally more dirty than one small pad. Even if we can toss them in the wash, it's weird to mop half your floor and do the rest later. This mop has the ability to fold and be wrung out in a bucket to let you keep on mopping until your entire floor is clean. As an added bonus it swivels in any direction you want to get under furniture and bends half way to reach under tables if you're not into bending. Retail: $24.99
Note: These products can be found at most Bed Bath & Beyonds and Kohls in the neighborhood near you. Use the location finder on each product page to find specific locations near you!

I bet that broom works great. I wonder if its harder to clean out?
Nice collection of cleaning tools. Slick design and cool color almost makes me want to go sweep the floor. Almost!
the best "mop" i've ever had was getting a steam mop. those are the best things ever. cleans with just steam and leaves hardly any water behind. our floors look so much cleaner than with a regular mop and cleaner. i was totally amazed and threw out all my mops.
Where can we get these things? Are they just hanging out in the cleaning aisle at Target and the grocery store, or do we have to go somewhere "special"?
The Bissell Pet Hair collection has actually made me ridiculously happy. We got the vacuum cleaner attachments (there's a set that will fit almost any vacuum!) and the hand vacuum. The hand vac has an odd handle, but both work AMAZINGLY well on pet hair. A short 5 minute vacuum three times a week and the pet hair is obliviated. Both the attachments and the hand vac were under 50$.
The vacuum works so well that I don't need the broom, but if it says Bissell and Pet Hair and if you need a broom, go for it!
i love the mop idea! now, if they could just make one handle, and we could put diff attachments on it, i'd be even happier!
I love the shoes in the picture. Where are those from?
AT really needs to edit their blogs better. Please see http://theoatmeal.com/comics/misspelling for some guidance
I just might have to try the Pet Hair Broom.
cmuberti - those shoes are Converse One Star satin shoes from target.
I'm am getting that broom. (buh-bye cat hair:) and perhaps the mop too.
I'm sucker for these things! I just checked to see where I could buy one of the lightweight microfiber mops (I have several different kinds already). Now, I live in BIIIGGGG city. The closest place to get one is 15 miles away. I don't care how good it is. W A I T . . . I'll order it on-line!!! yes, of course I can. I will do that...how long will it take to get here...shall I not mop the floor til it arrives....maybe a nap is in order...
The broom was featured on Young House Love earlier this week and I immediately e-mailed my husband and asked him to buy us one. He researched it and found they are sold at Kohls and Bed Bath & Beyond.
I have not used the broom yet, but I was intermediately impressed with some of the thoughtful design.
In addition to the pet hair claims the broom features an adjustable handle (could make it excellent for shorter people and kids!).
It also has a skid grip on the top of the handle so it can be easily leaned against the wall. The top also has a hook, in case you want to hang it.
The base has bumpers so you don't damage baseboards and walls.
The rubber bristles in the middle are adjustable, so you can make them longer or shorter than the other bristles.
I can't testify yet to the sweeping abilities, but so far I am impressed with the functionality. Cleaning day is Sunday so we'll see!
Who cleans up milk with a dustbin and brush?
We clean up dog vomit with a snow brush and a dust pan. Far less wasteful and faster than a half roll of paper towels, since we aren't going to use cloth without laundry in the building.
I saw that broom on another blog recently and got super excited. I am going to BB&B on Saturday to pick one up!!
PUMPED. Kittie has waaaay too much hair.

I still like my Vileda string mop, it's got a wringer attached, and the microfibre head can be taken off and thrown in the laundry. Unlike the flat microfibre mops, this guy can be used to clean the whole house simply because you can wring it out whenever you want.
The dustpan, scoop and broom, however, look fantastic. Particularly the dustpan, with that deep holding area near the handle.
we had a rubber broom that we lost in a move 6 years ago, and I have mourned it's passing since. I am going to buy this new broom tonight. The rubber broom is ridiculously good at getting pet hair, even off a persian rug. and easy to clean, just a rinse in the sink. yay!
