The second of the two planned Domino "Special Editions" is here. It hit/hits the newsstands this month, and although I didn't see it when I was at the bookstore this weekend, I still could be perusing it right now...on my iPad.
I think I'll hold out for a hard copy - something about Domino makes me want to stick with the good old glossy paper experience, but for those of you who want it sooner rather than later, it's available on iTunes for $6.99.
I'm curious to know how much of the content is new and how much is from the old magazine (essentially, is it similar to with the first Special Edition, with a certain percentage of recycled images?). Regardless, as a die-hard fan, I'm sure I'll be adding it my bookshelf.
Has anyone picked up a copy yet? If so, let us (ALL) know how it is - thumbs up?

Shaw's Original Fir...
I picked it up this weekend and it's fantastic! It's got a lot of previous articles but they picked great ones and repackaged it with lots of fresh new things. Definitely worth getting!!
I flipped through it this weekend at the airport. I was so excited to see it, but it left me underwhelmed. There was very little new inspiration as I have seen much of the content already. Oh well, I still keep a few old favorite issues for posterity's sake.
I'm planning on picking it up in the next few days. I'm not concerned about content, but I'm hoping I won't have to go to multiple stores to track it down like I had to with the first special edition.
I picked it up last week and was disappointed. Even with some new content i still felt cheated paying 11 bucks for images i already have in my library. Haven't we all pinned Jenna Lyons old house hundreds of times already? I didn't need a 10 page rehash. Plus the 'similar to shown' suggestions were subpar...
I am so glad I kept all my Domino Magazines. I went into a panic when they stopped publishing. I will be looking for a copy of this special.
I must have it!
I picked mine up today at a Walgreens, and I CANNOT WAIT to go through it. I must have donated all of my old Domino issues a while back as I no longer have them. So I am glad I have this and the last special issue. I didn't recall much of what I saw, though I'd heard from others that it was just reprints of old stuff. I still loved it.
I loved domino but find the 10.99 price point just too high. I picked it up, balked, and put it back. No thanks, i can get the same info via AT.
I wish I had balked or bought it on iTunes. I miss Domino. Maybe buying supports the return of the real thing? One can dream.
I saw the issue this past weekend, but besides the pictures, nothing about it reminded me of the real Domino. I feel like Conde Nast realized they could get people to pay $10 for recycled pictures if they packaged it as a beloved brand. I kept all of my Dominos and still flip through them and the design book, so I passed on the special issue.
