It's a given that most homes will have a dishwasher to deal with large amounts of dishes that are used up by families. While you can easily do them by hand, it can get exhausting to deal with many dishes every day. That's why we really like these new energy efficient dishwashers that we found.

This new dishwasher from Miele is part of their EcoLine appliances and is belongs to the G5000 series. The most important thing is that they have very low energy and water consumption. There are 15 different EcoLine dishwashers available as freestanding, built-under, integrated, and fully integrated models. They are all very quiet, generating only 44 dB of noise. For each cycle, they use 2.64 gallons and 0.94 kWh. You can further reduce this by connecting the dishwasher to a hot water supply, cutting energy consumption to 0.59 kWh.

This dishwasher from Baumatic doesn't have a handle and is part of their Ombra Collection, which emphasizes minimalism. This model is the stainless steel OMBRA4SS and reminds us of a built-in oven. The dishwasher opens up by slightly pressing the glass panel. This dishwasher comes in a few different colors (red, white, and black) to match your kitchen. It consumes about 2.11 gallons for each cycle.

As consumers become more aware of the energy consumption of their appliances, these sorts of features will become more common. We definitely like Miele's EcoLine. It's one of the most energy efficient dishwashers on the market right now and will make a difference in the long run.
